Building a Strong & Sustainable Economy
I will partially pedestrianise the high streets to increase footfall so shops and markets can flourish. I will also work to bring new business into our town centre.
Building a Clean Environment
I will clean up our towns from litter, pollution, waste and potholes.
Building the Future for Our Youth
I will work with businesses to create apprenticeships. I will also work with our schools and colleges to ensure our youth have the life skills to optimise their future.
Building a Healthier Constituency
I will ensure the adequate funding and resourcing of the NHS and Care workers. That includes the requisite number of doctors & mental health support commensurate with the needs of our town.
Building Affordable & Environmentally Friendly Homes
I will promote using brownfield sites to build environmentally friendly, affordable homes.
Building a Real Relationship with Residents
I will implement dedicated focus groups to ensure that residents’ voices are heard and listened to in all decisions that impact our residents.
Building an Outstanding, Open & Transparent Governance
I will ensure that the council operates to the highest ethical standards and has the Environment, Society and Governance at the core of all decisions.
My Background
I was born and raised in social housing in West London. I received a secondary modern education and spent my career in business as an executive for international corporations and working with the NHS, Adult Social Care services and the Government Cabinet Office.
I have lived in Tring for fifteen years with my wife Linda, and I have two grown-up daughters and two wonderful grandchildren. I care deeply about our environment, improving health services, and growing our economy to provide good job opportunities for our children and grandchildren.
I am a lifelong member of the Labour Party and was recently elected Chair of the Berkhamsted and Tring Labour Party. I enjoy reading, football, martial arts, and feeding the ducks in my garden in my spare time
